A lot of things can contaminate the fuel injectors, throttle housing, air intake, valves and combustion chamber of your car. Dirt and carbon deposits can build up there over time and cause your vehicle to perform poorly. Fuel Injection Cleaning
Coho Auto’s fuel injection service is a three-step process. The first step is a throttle body cleaning. We use an extremely potent cleaner that dissolves carbon deposits from the throttle plate and idle air control valve. This is also the most labor-intensive step because we have to take off the intake air system off to get to the throttle body.
Step two is the induction or rail service, which injects a chemical into the fuel line and intake to clean the intake manifold, the injector tips, valves, and combustion chamber. In brief, this effectively cleans the injectors, as well as the valves and combustion chamber.
The third step is putting an additive in the gas tank. An 11-ounce can of additive treats up to 20 gallons and is much stronger than what you can buy from your local parts store. It is essentially a fuel system detergent that cleans the tank and fuel lines not treated in the first two steps.
